Shelby Houlihan was born on 8 February 1993 in Sioux City, Iowa, USA, to Bob Houlihan and Connie. She was interested in sports since childhood. His uncle and mother have also been runners. That’s why she has also been getting encouragement from the members of the household in the athlete.
Shelby got her admission in East High School Sioux City. There the runner used to participate in the competition. There she took 44:43:64 to cover a distance of 1 mile, took 02:07:35 to cover a distance of 800 meters and set a record in 1500 meters with a time of 4:26:39.
After getting high school education got admission in Arizona State University. There she won the junior championship in the fifteen hundred meters. Houlihan set a record 12 times at Arizona State University.
At the 2016 Olympics, she qualified for the Olympics by finishing second in the USA Trials and finishing fourth in the women’s 5000 metres. It took 15:08:89 to complete this challenge. In this way she made many records in many countries and also got gold medals.
