Health issues plagued Griffith
Her first cancer diagnosis was in 1996 for her breasts, and the second was for her thyroid in 1998. She developed Dupuytren’s contracture, limiting the range of motion in her fingers. From 1976 until their divorce in 1982, she married the Texas singer-songwriter Eric Taylor.
Griffith went to Vietnam and Cambodia in 2000 with the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation, where he met Taylor, who had served there. Clock Without Hands (2001), titled after a novel by Carson McCullers, was her final album for Elektra and featured several songs on the Vietnam War.

Nanci was born on 6 July 1953 in Sargun, Texas, United States, but was raised in Austin. Nanci was very fond of music since childhood. So she wanted to step into the field of music. So she first learned to play the guitar and then began performing as a teenager.
Along with playing songs, she was also adept at writing music. Nanci served as a teacher at the University of Texas. While working there, she continued his performance. So she won the Kerrville Folk Festival folk contest.
Awards
In 1994, Griffith’s album Other Voices, Other Rooms took home the Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album. Although Lyle Lovett, who sang backup on some of “The Blue Moon Orchestra’s” records, had previously won the Americana Music Association’s Americana Trailblazer Award, she took home the honour in 2008.
