Rai Benjamin is a famous American hurdler and sprinter. In the Tokyo Olympics held in 2021, Benjamin won the silver medal in the 400 meters hurdles with a time of 46.17 seconds. Hence he has become the second fastest person in the 400 meters hurdles in history.
Earlier in the 2019 World Championships, he won a silver medal in men’s 400m hurdles and gold medal in 4x400m.

Life Story & Career
Benjamin began his career while teaching at Mount Vernon High School. He used to participate in running competitions at his college level, but he was able to compete for his motherland after a few years.
Benjamin wanted to run in the championships for the USA, but he represented Antigua in the 400 meters hurdles at the 2013 World Youth Championships. So in the year 2017 the IAAF revoked the transfers of the athletes and the country they were playing for would represent that country.
So at that time he could not represent USA, but he wanted to run for USA with all his heart. His transfer was approved in the year 2018 which gave him an opportunity to represent USA overseas.
