As a middle school student, Gurnam auditioned for and appeared on Season 5 of Awaaz Punjab Di. His debut single, Heer Jehiya Kurian, was out in 2014. He had also competed in the reality series Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Voice of Punjab. Rakhli Pyar Nal and Drivery were released in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
