Tessa Virtue Career
Virtue’s career began in earnest when she was paired with Scott Moir in 1997 by coach Paul MacIntosh. After starting their careers as junior athletes, they won the 2004 Canadian Junior Championship. In 2006, at the World Junior Championships, the couple immediately rose to the top, winning the gold medal.
Virtue relocated to Canton, Michigan, in 2004 to study under the tutelage of figure skating legends Igor Shpilband and Marina Zueva. After competing in the 2014 Olympics, she returned to her childhood home in London, Ontario. By 2016, her trip took her to Montreal, Quebec, where Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon taught her and Moir.
